Colin Doherty
President, Hook Interactive

Hook Interactive is owned and led by Colin Doherty.

After 15 years working in the commercial film industry in Los Angeles, Colin moved his family to Kentucky where he was recruited into the agency and client arenas, then opened Hook Interactive in 2016.

Previous to Hook, Colin was the Creative Brand Developer for Tempur Sealy International where he was responsible for planning, creating, controlling and monitoring all brand assets across its portfolio of global brands: Tempur Pedic, Sealy, Sealy Posturepedic, Stearns & Foster, and Cocoon. He supervised the brand creative visual strategy, on-set product and lifestyle photography, brand videos, illustrations, catalogs, and product packaging and ensured that consistent, compelling, and on-brand assets were available to all brand marketing functions and consumer touch points. Being part of this team and traveling the country solidifying and developing branded assets was instrumental in his decision to widen his scope and take this expertise to help other brands.

Previous to Tempur Sealy, Colin was a business development point and film producer for Bullhorn Creative, a branding agency. Along with an incredibly talented team, his significant instinct and grasp of emerging trends in branding, product development, interior and industrial design, corporate responsibility, and renewable/green resources resulted in Bullhorn growing to one of the top branding agencies in the region.

Before moving to Kentucky, Colin spent 15 years in Los Angeles as a set designer for principal cinematography on commercials, movies, print and videos - acquiring international experience filming global brands and working hand in hand with chief brand marketers and creative ad agencies. Being retained by top film production companies (MJZ, Smuggler, Harvest, Biscuit, Tool of North America) to shoot campaigns for major US and international brands and managing weekly production budgets of $500K to $1M resulted in invaluable experience and a huge multi-national network.

Colin was the creative production lead on the iconic and Cannes Grand Prix winner "Man Your Man Could Smell Like", for Old Spice, Wieden + Kennedy and director Tom Kuntz. Other notable spots designed and produced: Monster.com, Bud Light, USPS, Sears, Cars.com, Mercedes, Lexus, Chevy, Cadillac, Canon, Nike, Gatorade, Lowes, Saab, P&G, ADT, Hanes, and LG.

Colin now lives in Lexington, KY, and enjoys fly-fishing, painting, surfing (whenever he can get to the beach), and most of all, his two incredible kids.
